Blackwater Bossing has confirmed that Sedrick Barefield and Christian David are on the trading block. The team is open to making moves for the right pieces, according to team owner Dioceldo Sy. Barefield, a talented 6-foot-6 swingman, is a second overall rookie pick in the 2024 Rookie Draft and averages 21.1 points and close to four rebounds and four assists per game this season. David, a versatile forward, is another second overall rookie pick selected by Blackwater behind Stephen Holt during the 2023 Rookie Draft. He averages 8.58 points, 5.08 rebounds, and two assists per game in the Commissioner's Cup. The team is looking to make moves to strengthen their roster for the upcoming Governors' Cup, with newly-installed coach Patrick Aquino hinting that getting an import will depend on player movements. Blackwater had already lost their upcoming first-round pick to NLEX, which means the Road Warriors will have two first-round picks in a draft cast that is expected to go deeper with the possible inclusion of former top collegiate stars Michael Philipps and Nic Cabañero, among other studs.
