Following discussions with management, both sides agreed to move in different directions. Cariaso emphasized that he did not resign but rather concluded his tenure after a challenging season with the team. Under his leadership, Blackwater Bossing recorded only one win and four losses in the ongoing PBA Commissioner’s Cup. Pat Aquino, previously an assistant coach, has been named the interim head coach. He is set to lead the team as they prepare for their upcoming match against TNT. Aquino brings a wealth of experience, having recently stepped down as head coach of the Gilas Pilipinas women’s team, where he achieved significant success. Cariaso expressed gratitude towards the team’s ownership and management for their support during his time with the Bossing.
